Meet Carrie Pap Rescue Vistor

Today is about Carrie, she is with the Pap Rescue and will be a vistor here at my home until 12/22/2007, where she will begin on to her new foster home. I am doing a copy and paste of her bio as I have not met this wonderful girl yet. I am sure that once we do her transport next weekend, I will have a new write up about Carrie, so come back next Saturday or Sunday.

She will be moving to Walkersville MD from Marietta GA.

Carrie has a big heart. She just takes a little time to warm up to people to show it. She tends to be submissive but she sometimes tries to act like the leader she has inside. Her previous experience has repressed the fun loving leader she really is. We can tell that because she tells her pack to leave her alone when she wants to be left alone. If someone comes to the door she lets us know. Carrie is crate trained but would rather not live in a crate. She is not yet completely house trained however, she will use the potty pads when she cannot get outside. Carrie gets along with both the dogs and the cats in her foster home. This is what she has to say about herself.

Hi everyone! I am a shy girl who is looking for a furever home. My foster Mom says I have come a long way from when she first got me. At that time I did not trust humans because they always hurt me. Today, I was called in by my foster mom and with all the other dogs I came right in to get some loving. I love to play and get one on one attention. I am not yet comfortable sleeping on the bed with humans. I am interested in learning and trying new things.

My ideal home would be with one or two adults and a pack mate that have a fenced in back yard to play in. I love to run up and down the fence line and make fast turns. I might even make a really good agility dog if someone wanted to take the time to train me. I am smart and a quick learner. I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations and on heartworm preventive.

Are you willing to be my Furever home, to teach me how to be the best doggie in the world? I aim to please. If so, please click on the Adopt Me button and fill out an application!-------------------------------------Carrie was one of several Papillons rescued from a puppy mill shut down in Kentucky and was sent to GA by the PCAR Regional Coordinator (RC) for KY as she had no foster home for them. The RC for AL, GA & TN fostered them for about 2 months herself and is sending Carrie to a foster home where she can receive more one on one foster care and her training and rehabilitation can be finished. Papillon Club of America Rescue attempts to get a dog ready for a smooth transition from a foster home to it's forever adoption home.
